Only undergraduates in Singapore are eligible to participate in the local track of NUS FoodTech Challenge 2023. Undergraduates residing outside of Singapore can consider participating in the international track instead!

Local participants who advance to Finals can take part in on-site lab prototyping sessions in the National University of Singapore (NUS).

Teams should be prepared to commit to all key event dates throughout the challenge. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

All entries for Preliminary Submission should be submitted by the stipulated deadline. Late entries will not be considered or accepted.
Who can apply?

Open to all undergraduates in Singapore.

Participants can sign up as a team of 3-5 or as individuals. Participants who sign up individually will be randomly matched with other individual sign-ups to form a team of 3-5 members.

Multidisciplinary teams are encouraged!
Challenge Deliverables

After attending the Pre-Competition Workshop, all teams are required to submit a 3-5 minutes video entry addressing their allocated problem statement for Preliminary Submission by 7 June.

Shortlisted teams will advance to the Finals (held physically in the National University of Singapore). Participants will further refine their ideas, engage in prototyping sessions and pitch their ideas to a panel of judges.
Challenge Awards
Winner: SGD 3000 Cash Prize
Runner-up: SGD 1500 Cash Prize
Both winner and runner-up will also receive post-event support from The Hangar by NUS Enterprise and have access to green lane into NUS Venture Initiation Programme.
