General
Yes, there is no registration fee involved. Better yet, you stand a chance to win attractive prizes too!
Yes! FTC 2026 is open to all undergraduates, regardless of major.
No. All participants in both the local and international tracks will attend a Pre-Competition Workshop (1 day), where they will learn from industry experts and begin their ideation process. Following the workshops, participants will be given 10 days to further develop their ideas before submitting their entries for the Preliminary Submission by 23 May 2025.
No prior pitching experience is required, as training will be provided during the workshops. Just bring your ideas and enthusiasm!
You may not submit the same idea that has previously won another competition. However, you are allowed to further develop or build upon ideas. Please inform the organising committee if you choose to work on an existing concept.
Absolutely! We strongly encourage teams to be interdisciplinary, as participants can leverage on each other's diverse skills and expertise.
Of course! Inter-university and interdisciplinary teams are encouraged. However do note that all team members must be undergraduates from institutions within the same country.
No worries! Shortlisted finalists will have access to mentorship sessions, where mentors will guide teams through food prototyping and development during the lab sessions.
Yes, the post-finals programme will be conducted physically, and international winners will be flown in to attend.
